How to download Torrents. Five easy steps.
Download and install a torrent program. I reccomend uTorrent, but you may also want to try Vuse or others.
Go to a torrent website and look for a file you need. Type the name in search box or look for most curently popular files. Download the .torrent file. Use www.thepiratebay.org or www.isohunt.com
Locate and open the torrent file you downloaded on your computer. Downloading should begin automatically.
Enjoy the file you downloaded. Watch your movie, play the music or install that that program.
Organize your media files.
Introduction:
Today you hear a lot about torrenting,downloading torrents, and piracy, about getting programs, movies, music and games on internet for free. Let me explain what this all means and how you can do that too.
Why use torrents?
1) Get the stuff (music, movies, games, books, programms) for free and faster

2) Bittorrent protocol(format, idea) was created to distribute and share files. The original uploader (seeder) shares his file with few people and then they are able to share (upload, seed) this file too. You need only 1 person currently seeding the file to be able to download it, but the more seeders, the faster will be your download speed. If all the people will stop seeding, your download process will pause, but the part you already downloaded will remain intact on your computer even if you turn it off. Your downloading will resume after one ore more seeders will start uploading again.
Note: Don't worry about not having enough seeders when you download usual stuff. Most torrents have dosens, hunderds or thousands (like for latest episode of "House") uploaders at any single time. Unless you want to find last year's episode of Tonight Show, you are OK.
STEP 1. Install the torrent program.
Install uTorrent program. Go to www.utorrent.com , click the big green Free Download button and follow the instructions.
Note: While there are few other programs availiable (like Vuze) utorrent is smallest, clutter free and most popular.
STEP 2. Go to the website and choose the file you want ( movies,music or a program...)
Go to the website (torrent tracker) that you want to use to find your stuff. I prefer and recommend these two: www.thepiratebay.org and www.isohunt.com . In my tutorials I will use www.thepiratebay.org only as I cosider it the best balance between size, speed and safety.
Find your content
This can be the most challenging part as there are hunderds of new torrents that are added every day. Also, there will be many versions of the same file that you are seeking and you will have to decide which one toget. But don't worry! I will guide you trough the whole process.
Note: Generally, you can make a wise decision just by going with the most popular version of the file (the one most people are downloading) and reading the comments.
For movies, shows and other videos.
1 If you are looking for shows and movies that were released recently I suggest you navigate to TOP100 section or look what files are downloaded (being leached) the most.
2 ways to do that.
Go to www.thepiratebay.org > press TOP100 in the middle menu > choose a category you want: Movies or TV shows GUIDE
or www.thepiratebay.org > press Browse Torrents in the middle menu > choose a category you want: Movies or TV shows > Order by Leechers at the top right of the list DIRECT LINK
2 If it's not really recent and thus, not going to be one of the most downloaded (leeched) torrents, you will need to use search > Order by Leechers at the top right of the list to see the most popular results for your search.
3 Choose which torrent is best to download. This the most dificult part.
Look for theese descriptions in the name of the torrent. Also, reading comments will tell you you more about quality of the video. Information on how to watch videos on your monitor or TV will be given later.
TVRip, HDTVRip - good only for shows. HDTV is higher quality, but you will need to to switch your monitor to higher resolution or watch on your TV to trully enjoy the quality.
DVDRip - The good old DVDs. They may start around 700MB (very compressed, bad quality, but good enough to watch on your computer monitor if you are not picky) and up to 4GB (like a regular DVD you buy in the store)
BRRip, BluRay, BDRiP,1080p or 720p These are Blueray rips. As you know Blueray have much better quality then DVDs. 1080p is the indicator of highest resolution. You'll be able to enjoy it fully only on your big screen TV. 720p is lower, but still much higher then DVDs. Enough for 90 % of people even wil huge TVs. If the Blueray rip of a refular 1hr:20 min movie is below 4Gb, then it's compressed so much it may not be better then a DVDRip. In this case you need to look at the size of a file and decide which quality do you need.
Note: At the end what matters is the size of you video file. If you have two torrents that are both DVDRips but one is 700MB and the other is 2GB, the latter version is going to be much better. Also, note that bigger size, also means better audio.
Suggestion:
For a 20min show. To watch ok quality on monitor get around 180MB file.
For a 40min show. To watch ok quality on monitor get around 350MB file. For bigger(24") monitor or TV you can get around 1GB file.
For a regular 1hr:20min movie. To just watch the movie in so-so quality get 700MB file. For better quality get 1,2Gb-4Gb file. 4Gb DVD or Blueray rip is good enough for most people even on a big TV. 8Gb or more is the best quality video with best audio for your home theater.
Some movies last almost. 2 hrs in these case the smallest size file usually start at 1 Gb.

Music
1) Go to www.thepiratebay.org > press use search > Order by Leechers at the top right of the list to see the most popular results for your search
2) Choose the right torrent.
The quality of music is determined by bitrate. 320kbps is the best quality 128kbps is lowest (but good enough for most people). Also, make sure you download music in .mp3 (Ex.: I did it again.mp3)
There may be just one track in the list, the whole CD in one torrent or the whole discography of an artist. You should click on the torrent to read the description. In the desrciption you should see the list of tracks that are on this torrent.
Note: If you found the torrent with many tracks in it, but you want only one track, you should still download file. You will be able to choose to download only one track. After you open the torrent file with uTorrent program, you will be promped to choose which files in the torrent you want. You should uncheck all but one (the track you want). GUIDE GOES HERE.
Programs:
1) Go to www.thepiratebay.org > press use search > Order by Leechers at the top right of the list to see the most popular results for your search.
Examples for your search : Office 2010, Photoshop, Nero, Rosetta Stone and so on.
There's no best way to choose the correct program exept choosing the most popular torrent and reading the comments.
NOTE: Installation and hacking of a program is not as easy as downloading a movie. But most torrents will have good instructions on how to do it and it should fairly doable even for noob.
STEP 3. Download and open torrent file to start downloading your file
1) After you open the torrent page you will see DOWNLOAD THIS TORRENT link. Press on it and save the torrent file on your computer.
2) Open a file (double click it) with uTorrent. (if you can't find it on your computer press CTRL + J in your web browser).
When you open it you shoul see THIS screen. If you don't - right click the torrent file on your computer > open with menu > choose uTorrent from the list and checkmark - Always use selected program...
3) When you open a torrent a LIST will pop up. This list contains all the files in the torrent. Most of the times you want to get all the files. If you are trying to download only one song from the whole Album, then you need to select only the song you want. After you are done with it press OK and downloading will begin.
4) Check the progress of your download.
STEP 4. Watch your movie, record your music or install your program
For Movies.
You can watch it on your computer, you can watch it on your TV (with HDMI cable that connects computer and TV, up to 10meters) or you can write it on DVD or Blueray disk and witch it on TV with DVD/Blueray player.
For Music.
Listen to it on your computer (how to organize and play your music), write it on CD for your car or music/dvd player, or put it into your iPod or another digital player.
For programs and games.
You need to install it. Instructions should be in the description or comments on the website or in the file Readme, Read First or something like that among the files you download.
STEP 5. Organize. Store. Share?
Do you want to keep the movies you to watch them later or share them? Would you like to create a music library on your computer to easily search and play racks? And later, burn selected tracks to your CD? Then i got few solutions for you!
