Windows is the most used operating system all around the world and with the recently developed windows 10, the popularity has plummeted through the roof. That being said, Windows 10 can be downloaded easily at various sites but there is a particular method for downloading them. Also another topic is that whether the user’s computer needs the advanced version of Windows or can handle it properly.
It is also advisable to first install the operating system (Windows 10) on a test computer or a virtual machine before installing it on the main computer. A system image of the whole computer is recommended so that if something goes wrong, the system can be reverted to its original state.
Download a Windows 10 ISO image file
The first step is to download an image file of the Windows version, here Windows 10 from the Microsoft’s website which is the easiest option. The web installer can be downloaded alternatively to upgrade the PC which is the easiest option available.
Run Windows Update and see if your free reserved copy of Windows 10 is ready for install. It is important to note here that Microsoft is doing a phase rollout which means not everyone will get the update on day 1.

If the computer on which the Windows 10 is being installed has a version of Windows already installed on it, then the procedure becomes easy and convenient. A disk can be burned or a bootable pen drive created for installation purpose. Otherwise, just attach the ISO image using the virtual machine software of your choice (assuming your virtual machine already has Windows 7 or 8 installed).
If your Windows Update is showing you ‘We’ll let you know when the upgrade is ready to be installed on this PC.’ message, fret not, you can force it to download the update right now without any waiting time.
Install it mostly by clicking the Next button, making sure to choose Upgrade when prompted. If you want to clean install, follow our clean install instructions instead.
Your PC will now reboot, after which Windows 10 installation will automatically begin. The installation is divided into three phases:Copying files, Installing features and drivers, configuring settings.
You don’t need to do anything. Just wait patiently for it to do its thing. During the installationprocess, your computer may restart a couple of times. The duration of this process can take anywhere from 10 to 15 minutes, depending on the size of your data and speed of your computer.
